Interlibrary Loan

About Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that allows Beaverton City Library patrons to obtain materials that are not available through Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) libraries. We borrow from libraries all over the United States using the WorldCat database. We reciprocate by lending our materials outside of WCCLS.

How to Request

Method 1: Submit an Interlibrary Loan Borrowing Request First, choose your pickup library; then you will be directed to WorldCat to search for items

Method 2: Print the proper form linked below Submit the form in person at either Beaverton City Library location

Further Information

  • There is a limit of five requests in process per person
  • Allow 2-6 weeks for your ILL to arrive
  • You can check on the status of your ILL request by viewing your account online; you can also call the ILL desk at BCL at 503-350-3608 or email bclill@BeavertonOregon.gov
  • While most of the lenders we borrow from are free, a few lenders charge to loan or copy materials; there may be a charge for items that are more specific or hard to locate
  • Materials that can be borrowed through ILL include books, DVDs, CDs, microfilm, musical scores, and newspaper and journal articles
  • We are currently unable to borrow video games or current year items; we encourage you to suggest a title for purchase and we can consider the item for our collection
  • The loan period is determined by the lending library, and materials can often be renewed
  • In order for your ILL request to be processed, your library card must be in good standing
