Events for Teens

  1. Scary Story Creative Writing Contest (begins)

    October 1, 2021, All Day


    Write a one-page or shorter scary story for a chance to win a Powell's gift card! There will be $100, $50, and $25 gift cards for one winner each in middle school and high school. The full contest guidelines and a link to the online entry form will be posted on during the week of September 19. Prizes sponsored by the New Friends of the Beaverton City Library. Grades 6-12.

  2. Maker Studio (at Main)

    October 1, 2021, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

    Teen Room

    Hang out in the Teen Room and use various materials from our Maker Cart to create something truly original. We’ll provide the supplies, including washi tape, origami paper, knitting needles and yarn, and more, and you bring ideas for this drop-in, self-directed crafting time. Grades 6-12.

    Little Scientists is a fun and interactive storytime designed for children ages 12-36 months that explores the wonder of science through books, songs, and more. Ages 12-36 months. Register with an email address and we'll email the link prior to the event.
