About the Beaverton City Library
The Beaverton City Library, the second busiest library in the state, serves a population of approximately 142,000 (the population of Beaverton plus a portion of the unincorporated residents of Washington County). Each month over 84,000 people visit the Library to check out nearly 300,000 items. The total annual circulation exceeds 3.3 million items. The Library has two facilities each open seven days per week.
The Beaverton City Library, located at 5th St. and Hall Blvd., is a 69,000 sq. ft. full-service library maintaining a collection of over 350,000 items, has meeting rooms, a computer lab and a lot of youth programs.
The Beaverton City Library @ Murray Scholls is a 7,000 sq. ft facility providing popular materials with an emphasis on youth. Items not in the Branch collection can be placed on hold and will be routed to the Branch for pick-up.
